Judge vs Wise - Identify your Judge

By Marco Silva 20/04/2022 | Based on Positive Intelligence by Shirzad Chamine

The inner judge - the one that compares, makes a judgement, a sentence and ends up condemning and punishing oneself and everyone else... it is that unbalanced ego that deep down wants to protect us, it is survival instinct, it is unnecessary protection. It is a zombie that is never present, always comparing itself to the past and projecting all its fear and catastrophes into the future.

I saw my inner judge and I didn't like it at all!

The other day I was immersed in my mental movies and passing by a mirror in the house, I glimpsed for a thousandth of a second the jaws of my inner judge, his expression, his look, his darkness, his anger, his rage, his sadness... his fear... I saw my shadow!

The moment it happened, it shocked me, I didn't like it at all, what a character...

And then I thought what a blessing! Finally, I saw his face, I had already given him a name, I knew what he made me feel but I had not yet seen him. Now I know him and I recognise him. I can improve my relationship with this part of me and it doesn't have to define me anymore.

Marco Silva coaching - Judge vs Wise - Identify your Judge
The judge is never happy and/or satisfied, he (or she, or even it...) always lacks something and everyone has joined forces to annoy him. Even God conspires against him... the deep intention of this "crazy" protection may be noble, but believing him turns us away from Love and inner peace.

If what you want is to feel more well-being and self-love it is crucial to realise how this judge acts in you, don't be afraid of him: call him, invite him to sit with you and talk to him, ask him what his intentions are, look him in the eyes, know your judge, give him a name... tell him how he makes you feel and that you don't need him, that he should STOP.

He will keep coming back, he is part of you, you can't make him disappear forever. But each time you identify him and ask him to stop he will become weaker, stay for less time, and will deflate.

The best way to keep the judge out of your life is to have the intention to maintain the constancy of being very present, practice mindfulness, live in the now and lots of daily practice!

Remember; you are not your judge, you are the consciousness that identifies this character... if so then you can also choose to believe it or not, to empower it or not... "I commit myself to choose more of the present and Love".

I wish you all the best!
