4 pillars of change - getting awareness

Where I come from there’s a saying that the blindest of all is the one that refuses to see. Leading that person to just stay, unmoving on her/him views, opinions and beliefs steel bubble.

Here’s how you can start your transformational path – by REALLY opening your eyes and hears!

Where I come from there’s a saying that the blindest of all is the one that refuses to see. Leading that person to just stay, unmoving on her/him views, opinions and beliefs steel bubble.

In order to change, to move from where we are, from our dogma and self told stories (often self-told lies and bs) we need to change the attitude on perceiving the world around us, open a door, read between the lines, being open to change the TV or radio station channel, soften the steel.

If there is suffering in your life, if you acknowledge a change is needed, the first step is to dig in and ask yourself; where is this pain coming from? And keep digging until the root cause is exposed.

Marco Silva coaching - 4 pillars of change - getting awareness
I often get the occasional client that comes knowing already everything; “Yes, I know that… or yes, I’ve already done that…” And, in my often challenging and cut-the-BS style, ask “If that is true, why do you keep behaving the same way? And having the same results and feeling as bad as before?”

The quick answer is that most of us are in denial, we “want" to introduce changes, but we don’t really want to do it. And I get it; it’s hard, challenging, painful, and scary… we need the courage to move our rears from our comfort.

So if you are in that situation, if life is calling you for something higher, bigger and more something; stop for a while giving yourself time and space, STEP OUT, analyse from the outside as objectively as you can, and hire a coach, write a journal, contemplate, meditate, walk in nature, have meaningful conversations with your partner and close friends, be vulnerable, put your defences down and SEE beyond just looking at it and LISTEN beyond hearing. BE QUIET and OBSERVE your life from the outside without JUDGEMENT. Allow that awareness to sit in you, and build consciousness.

If you perceive a considerable change happening in your life, and before taking a decision, I recommend you embark on an initiatory modern-day adventure in close contact with nature, something like the Camino de Santiago. Remember; step out first to a neutral point of observation, build space and vision, and then you are ready for the next step – forgiving your past and letting go.

I wish you health, peace and courage to Be Love!
